I have Method Raid Tools for some extra quality of life features that NSRT doesn't provide.. this is the main one at the moment. Essentially this will enable combat logging for all of the options you select, so as you can see in the screenshot, it's enabled and has raids NM/HC/Myth and M+ all checked. 1

To ensure the logs include absolutely all data you also need to enable advanced combat logging. This is found in the normal blizzard options panel and you can find it by just searching advanced 2

That's all you need to do in game, now it will automatically start logging when you start any raid boss or M+ dungeon. As you might have seen in the first image inside Method Raid Tools it states that the logs are going to be saved to the Logs folder as a file named WoWCombatLog.txt. This log folder is inside your wow _retail_ folder :)

Next is the Archon app. This is what is used to both live log and record but I'll only cover live logging of course. Ensure you're signed into Archon with warcraft logs. You can check this in the Account section and it should say like so.. 3

If that's correct goto the Logging section from the left side menu. It should put you straight onto the live log section. If not just make sure you're on the live logging option from the top menu. You essentially have 4 main things to setup here.

  1. The top box labled Choose the logs subdirectory of your game installation:
    • This should be set to the folder I mentioned before, you're not looking for a specific file here, you just want it set to the Logs folder inside your _retail_ folder.~
    • It should look something like the image below
  2. The second option is the Choose the guild you want to upload to: this is a little misleading because unless you actually have a guild specifically for guild logs, we want to set this to personal. So the options should be set to Personal Logs | EU | Public (You can also decide if you want them to be private or not here but honestly I don't see the point in not having the public.
  3. The Enter a description for the report option is completely up to you, I generally just lable them by the current date the log is for. If you do Mythic+ and Raids in the same day, the live log is going to include the Mythic+ runs too with this setup so having it simply be the date keeps things simple. Unless you want to specifically ONLY log your raid nights, in that case look at step 4.
  4. So this option is a little weird lol... essentially the Include the entire File in the Report option deal with if we're live logging everything from the point you start live logging onwards OR if we're going to live log everything we've done today already plus anything more we do after we set it going. If you remember to start your live log before every raid night, then you can leave this turned off and it will simply log your raid night.. HOWEVER.. if you're like me and you don't always remember to live log right the start of raid.. you may want to leave this turned on. If you have it turned off and you forget to live log untill after you've killed a boss or two, it will skip those one or two boss kills on the log, if you leave it turned on the only downside is your logs may also include some M+ or whatever you've done before raid that day as I said above.

Mine looks like this: 4

And that's all there is to it. Once you have it setup once, all you have to do is at some point during your raid night, open Archon, give the log log a name in the description section then click Go.
